When To Do Sweepstakes Surveys
Many people may wonder when you should take the time to actually fill out a survey where the only reward is an entry to a sweepstakes. I normally wouldn't advocate that you take the time to try to win a sweepstakes, but there are times when it can be worth it.
The simplest time will be when the sweepstakes is one that
you can actually win. There are many surveys that offer entries into relatively
small draws that reward multiple payments of $20. These are often worth doing because
the chance for a nice reward is actually pretty big.
The other draw will be that there isn't too much that
usually needs to be done to fulfill such a survey. They are usually just about
10-15 minute ordeals that offer basic questions. The company that doesn't want
to offer a tangible incentive is usually one that isn't trying to find the
meaning of life. You'll probably answer a few questions about which beverage
you like and why. The point is that this shouldn't be too bad of a survey to
fill out.
Since you won't need to spend a lot of time on them, it
should be easy to decide whether the survey is worth it. If you don't have time
then go ahead and delete it or save it if you're pretty sure you'll have time
to kill later. As I always state, that's the beauty of filling out a survey.
You don't have to fill out every one.
The sweepstakes surveys I would give a definite pass are any
that rely upon the sheer amount to draw you into answering. These are the
$50,000 sweepstakes that have one winner out of some ten thousand that end up
entering. Those are not realistically worth your time and you will probably not
win. That said, if you don't play you'll never know. If you truly have nothing
better to do, it won't hurt. Otherwise, just let these drop into the depths of
your inbox.
As you can see, sweepstakes are a special reward in the survey sweepstakes world. There are times when it will be worth it, but each offer should be taken with a grain of salt.
